Our VMware environment is completely isolated from the internet, so all updates/patches/etc have to be downloaded manually and then transferred to the Update Manager server.
Running vCenter v2.5, ESX v3.5 and Update Manager v1.0.0.63995.
I've downloaded the zip files and contents.zip file from the VMware Patch Centre, and put them in the folder where UMDS would use if it had internet access, as per all the vmware guides state.
However, when running the vmware-umds --export --dest d:\esxupdates\ command, it says the Metadata is missing.
In the Update Manager folder there is a Metadata folder, and it is empty, so i'm guessing i need something in there, but what?
